Real Connections Verona

Arriving in a new city as an Erasmus student is an unforgettable experience, but it can also be challenging. New language, new culture, new routines — and often, no familiar faces. While social media makes it easy to stay connected, it doesn't always help create real, meaningful relationships in a new place. This project was created to fill that gap. Our platform is designed to help Erasmus students in Verona move from online interactions to real-life connections. It offers a safe and welcoming space where students can meet others who are going through the same experience, start conversations online, and then take part in in-person events created specifically to encourage genuine social interaction. The purpose of this project is to show the difference between simply being "social" and building true social relationships. Digital tools are used as a bridge, not as an end goal. By bringing people together offline, we aim to reduce loneliness, promote inclusion, and help students feel part of a community from their very first weeks in Verona.
